As part of their integration plan following an acquisition, our eCommerce client saw a need to expand their space in Hoboken, NJ from three to four floors. They took the opportunity to create a fun space that celebrates the future of retail.

Working with HLW and Avison Young, they also wanted to explore a more sustainable approach to building out their new space. After visiting DIRTT in Calgary, the team determined to go with a full pre-manufactured construction approach.

​

Our ForBuild team worked closely with the design and project management team as well as general contractor to deliver a forward-thinking and environmentally responsible solution that could be built faster than conventional construction and provide a high-tech and futuristic aesthetic.

Coordinating with our client’s AV Integrator, our team was able to embed technology easily into DIRTT walls. Technology solutions included displays and Cisco speaker housing kits for video conferencing capabilities in 26 rooms – conference, meeting and huddle rooms. 

​

Throughout the space we incorporated unique material solutions like felt acoustic fabric for both acoustics and texture, stainless steel perforated thermafoil for a space age aesthetic, and back painted glass for embedded technology. Bold graphics created by Drive 21 were applied to vinyl and wrapped on walls using DIRTT’s Write Away tiles throughout the space.

With a collaborative and forward-thinking approach, 80% of the project was able to be constructed in just 4.5 weeks.
